Safety Management System

The Tribal Transportation Safety Management System Steering Committee consists of Tribal employees and federal agency representatives that meet on a regular basis to coordinate efforts and provide strategic direction for reducing fatalities and serious injuries from transportation incidents in Tribal areas.  Committee meetings are generally open to public participation and are announced on this page.    These meetings have helped to develop Reports to Congress, publish the Tribal Transportation Strategic Safety Plan, interact with researchers, guide government projects, and more.
