Training Opportunities
Tribal Injury Prevention Resource Center
The Tribal Injury Prevention Resource Center provides technical assistance, training, resources and tools for motor vehicle safety to tribes, tribal organizations and programs nationwide.
National Highway Institute
On-line training from the National Highway Institute is available to Tribes at no cost by contacting the FHWA Center for Local Aid Support at CLAS@dot.gov.
NHI also offers many oportunities for in-person training for a fee.
AASHTO T3
Training from the AASHTO Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council is available to Tribes at no cost by contacting the FHWA Center for Local Aid Support at CLAS@dot.gov.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Learning Center
In person and online training available for highway traffic safety topics including grants administration, occupant protection, speed, impaired driving, pedestrians and bicycles, vulnerable road users, and law enforcement liaisons.
Tribal Transportation Safety Summits
Regional Tribal transportation safety summits provide an opportunity for Tribal leaders and safety professionals an opportunity to focus on critical road safety issues.
